No I'm not from Bakersfield, I just went to college there. I grew up in Lindsay, about an hour north of Bakersfield (up hwy 65).

Are you from Bakersfield by any chance? I was born there so that is why I was asking.

TJ I have similar thoughts about that even though Ihave never lived outside of Fresno. Fresno is the 5th largest city in California, but does not have the big city mentality at all. Most people know someone that you know or friends of a friends type of thing, and it does make a person wonder if the opportunity came up for relocation would it fit him/her. I know Fresno is where I want to raise my family and most "Fresnans" do. Whether someone leaves for college it is all most certain they will eventually move back home to raise their families. With that the thought of a small town personality that I have, making a decision to relocate would be one that would require a lot of due diligence and a big time incentive as well. But thankfully we are still young enough to have confidence that we could transition and adapt to other surroundings and still be very successful. Oh and by the way I could never live with the traffic LA deals with.

I am a student at the University of Nevada and I am working at the GBS Branch in Sacramento. Yesterday was my second day at work and so far it has been a great experience. Everyone has been extremely helpful in acclimating me to how things work in the office. There haven't been any real surprises so far. Yesterday I pulled in my first lead so that was exciting. I am kind of disappointed that there aren't any water cooler talks, but that is because our office is high tech and use yahoo messenger. Everyone here rocks.
