Successful Producer

A successful producer in my office is Rodney B. Rodney makes his quota every year, he has been to 3 award conferences, and has been in the top 20 in GBS, several times. He credits his success to working in a good office, which is generous and focused on cross selling.

His advice on how to be a successful producer is:
- Honesty
- Humility
- Confidence
- Be comfortable with your self.
- Strong work ethic (show up to work prepared and focused)

Rodney is easy going, he does not believe in a hard sale, he takes a consultative approach. He is comfortable in leadership roles and enjoys mentoring and helping people.

Chi Town Sunday

The first two weeks went by rather quickly.  I guess time flies when you’re having fun. We have attended several meetings, working on some projects, there is something new every day.

In my spare time away from work and school, I surf @ Malibu. To say Malibu is crowded is like saying the 405 may have traffic, it’s a given.  With this in mind, the people in the lineup are almost as much fun to watch as the wave is to ride. They are a microcosm of L.A. itself: rebels, cowboys, models, godlike masters, floundering kooks and huddled masses yearning to be free.  By the way, I am a floundering kook.  Malibu is a wonderful study in mob mentality: the predators, the prey, the shouting, the inevitable crack of boards slamming together and the onlookers’ mischievous snickers.

Here is a pic

Looking forward to meeting everyone in Chicago.

Also…I think it would be a good idea if we designate a time and a place on Sunday to meet in the hotel and maybe go grab dinner so we can get to know each other. Tell me what you think.

Week 1

I am a Business Management major at California State University Northridge.  Northridge, is located in the San Fernando Valley, which is also my hometown.  If I had to pick a song that represents the soundtrack of my life, it would be “My Way” by Frank Sinatra.  Why did I choose this song to represent the soundtrack of my life?  Because I do it my way…
